Price per person is DKK 500 (68 EUR) and includes aperitif, dinner, 2 glasses of wine/beer & coffee/tea, and the Congress Dinner is open to both delegates and accompanying persons.

3. Dramatized city walk

Date and time: Tuesday 7th August 2012, 19:00 - approx. 22:00

Drunkenness and brawls, prostitution and witch burnings were all part of life for the citizens of Aalborg some 400 years ago. The dark past lives again for you on this tour where historical facts are mixed with convincing drama! The tour lasts a little over an hour where a guide leads the guests safely through the tumult; in which semi-professional actors from the theatre group of Det Hem'lige Teater (the secret theatre) help recreate the past. They breathe life into some of the historic and infamous events that Aalborg has witnessed through the centuries. You will learn about rich and the poor, centering on the wealthy merchant, Jens Bang, who built the famous stone house in 1624 that bears his name. The tour winds through the old city streets and looks at the life of such people - not to mention the prostitutes, the pregnant chambermaids and the liquor that was the poor man's friend. The tour ends in historic Duus Wine Cellar (in Jens Bang's House) where typical Danish Open Sandwiches will be served together with a nicely chilled draught beer! Price per person DKK 375 (50 EUR) incl. food and beverages as described. Minimum 50 participants.

4. City walk along the harbour front incl. Utzon for accompanying persons

Date and time: Monday 6th August 2012, 11:00 -- 13:00

This tour will take you to the recently renovated harbour front of Aalborg, where you will explore the attractive and lively area along Limfjorden. The guide will introduce you to the sights and activities in the area and especially to the Utzon Center. At a time when Aalborg is redefining its identity in terms of culture and tourism, through outstanding architecture and the redevelopment of the water front, the city is quite uniquely fortunate in that it can present the work of two of the great Nordic Masters of Modern architecture, Finnish Architect Alvar Aalto and Jørn Utzon, who actually grew up in Aalborg. This tour will especially give you an introduction to Jørn Utzon and Utzon Center. The work of Alvar Aalto can be explored on your own on a visit to KUNSTEN - Museum of Modern Art Aalborg, which is very close to the congress center. Jørn Utzon and his sons are the architects behind this magnificent building, Utzon Center. The Utzon Center stands as an architectural intermediary between the buildings of the city center opposite the tall, massive constructions by the new water front and the heavy industry on the east harbour. You will be given an introduction to the building and the present art- and architecture exhibitions and you will also be invited to join a guided tour in the Utzon Center to experience the fascinating building from inside. Price per person DKK 225 (30 EUR) incl. guide and entrance to Utzon Center. Minimum 10 participants.

The area is named "The Land of Light" due to its many hours of sunshine and the special light many tourists enjoy every year. On the way to Lønstrup we will visit Børglum Monastery, where the guide will give you an inspiring introduction to the old and fascinating buildings of Børglum - a centre of power in the Middle Age and now a remote but still beautifully situated monastery, which today houses various exhibitions with historic and artistic themes. After Børglum we will continue to the charming fishing village of Lønstrup on the west coast of North Jutland. The guide will take you on a stroll along the picturesque main street where small art and craft shops and workshops lie side by side with specialist shops. The walk as well as the main street ends where the wild and fascinating North Sea takes over, and you will be able to enjoy a breathtaking view of the dramatic coast and the beautiful beach.
